Described by the Russian critic Olga Ivannikova as a ‘great English young talent’, Craig Greene is a versatile and exciting pianist and conductor who is in much demand as a concert soloist. He has performed with leading orchestras and conductors including Tchaikovsky 1st Concerto (Russian National Orchestra), Carlo Ponti and Sian Edwards Beethoven 3rd Concerto (Milton Keynes City Orchestra).

Craig studied piano at the Royal College of Music with Ashley Wass, Dmitri Alexeev and Maia Griffin and at the University of Oxford where he was an instrumental and academic scholar at Christ Church. Craig holds first class degrees from both institutions, and he won numerous prizes as a student.
Other notable performances include Mozart Piano Concerto No.24 with the Clic Sargent Symphony Orchestra (CSSO), after which he was invited to become their first Artist in Residence and Principal Guest Conductor. In March 2011 he performed Beethoven Triple Concerto with the CSSO. Other notable engagements include the opening night of the 2010 Two Moors Festival Beethoven Choral Fantasy with the Orchestra of the Swan in Exeter Cathedral.
Craig is also in demand as a recitalist with recent venues including the Hong Kong Central Hall; Elgar Room, Royal Albert Hall; the Amyrillis Fleming Concert Hall, London; the Holywell Music Room, Oxford and at the Oundle International Festival. Craig regularly collaborates with other musicians as either an accompanist or chamber musician. These include; Thomas Hancox (Guest Principal Flute – London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra) and James Maltby and Naomi Watts as part of the Greene Trio with whom Craig won the 2012 RCM Chamber Music with Piano Competition.
In 2008 Craig won the Oxford University Conducting Competition and was elected principal conductor of the Oxford University Philharmonia. Craig regularly works as a guest conductor with groups including the Oxford Chamber Orchestra, Woking Symphony Orchestra, Opera Lyrica and the Burford Symphony Orchestra. Future engagements include recitals and masterclasses in Hong Kong and Shenzhen and appearances in London.
Craig is committed to teaching and from September 2013 was a member of the music faculty at St Paul’s School, London. Prior to working at St Paul’s, he held positions at St Catherine’s School, Bramley and the Milton Keynes Music Service. Since September 2018, Craig has been Director of Music at Stowe School in Buckingham.
